740 Park Avenue co-op sold for $52.5 million

Oaktree Capital founder Howard Marks has paid a record-smashing $52.5million for a sprawling Manhattan apartment nestled inside what is arguably the city's most exclusive building. The duplexes total more than 30 rooms on the 12th and 13th floors of the building. The apartments had been listed at $60 million by Courtney Sale Ross, widow of former Time Warner CEO Steve Ross. Marks and his wife, Nancy, will move into the 740 Park Avenue co-op - a spread that spans two stories and 30 rooms, including two libraries, eight bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, a private elevator, elliptical staircases, views of Central Park, six terraces and a dining room. Plus a spare. The maintenance alone is $412,000 a year.
