Grosvenor House Tower Two in Dubai
Grosvenor House Dubai has opened Tower Two, directly opposite the first, with 106 Premier rooms and suites, five Premier villas and 216 residential apartments. Outwardly and inwardly, there is plenty in the second tower which replicates the first - and links between the two are clearly cemented by the connecting mezzanine walkway - although equally some novel touches too. Business travellers will warm to the spacious Level 5 club lounge, which has separate areas for families, meetings, dining and relaxation - although executives booking into Tower One should beware that there is no similar facility.
Hotel rooms are located on floors 5 -10, with one-, two- and three-bedroom residences on floors 11 upwards, where unit prices cost between Dhs 200,000-400,000 a year. Room categories encompass Premier, Premier Suite, Premier Junior Suite and Premier Executive Suite. Premier Rooms feature a simple creme-and-black design, work desk with pull-up mirror, touch screen panels and iPod docks and spacious bathrooms with separate tub, power shower and toilet cubicle, while the larger suites have a lounge area, dining table and larger bathroom with two sinks. Tower Two will also be home to Embassy Dubai, complementing the Embassy London in Mayfair, which will target the late-night dining-and-dancing crowd on floors 43-45.
