The Ritz-Carlton Abu Dhabi Grand Canal

The Ritz-Carlton Abu Dhabi, Grand Canal, a landmark in the making, will be an Italian themed resort located adjacent to the towering Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque.

The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company has struck an agreement with Abu Dhabi National Hotels (ADNH) for The Ritz-Carlton to operate a waterfront hotel in Abu Dhabi, which will open late 2011. The third Ritz-Carlton in the UAE is located in landscaped gardens with its own private beach overlooking the Grand Canal. Designed by Otak International, The Ritz-Carlton Abu Dhabi Grand Canal will contain 447 rooms and suites, as well as 85 villas. Inspired by the 15th to early 17th century Renaissance architecture and the urban planning of Venice, 10 stately buildings are arranged in a crescent formation.

The hotel contains a 1,600 m2 outdoor pool and water features throughout the 220,000 m2 property. The Resort will feature the luxurious Espa where visitors and residents can indulge in finest massage, beauty therapy and holistic treatments. The hotel will also feature The Ritz-Carlton Club, a private floor accessible only by elevator key and offering five complimentary food and beverage presentations throughout the day and dedicated concierge service.
