Trump Buys Branton Woods, Pine Hill Golf Courses
Dec.24 - Donald Trump bought the Branton Woods Golf Club in the Hudson Valley in New York and Pine Hill Course near Philadelphia, adding to the real estate developer's golf-course holdings.
Trump has changed the name of the 400-acre Branton Woods course to Trump National Golf Club-Hudson Valley, New York and the 365-acre Pine Hill course to Trump National Golf Club-Philadelphia, according to an e-mailed statement by the developer. Terms were not disclosed. "These two courses are each considered among the finest in the country and I am proud to add them to my growing list of clubs," Trump said in the statement. The courses will be "high-end ultra-luxury private clubs" and would cost $45 million each to build and take years to get necessary approvals to build, according to the statement. Trump owns other golf courses, including one near Washington and one in Westchester County, New York, north of New York City.
