Penthouse in Westminster Terrace, Hong Kong
British property developer Grosvenor hired designer Tara Bernerd to revamp the penthouse atop the Westminster Terrace. Located on the 40th floor of the residential development in Approach Bay, the 6,500 sq ft penthouse is one of the largest in the city.
The two storey penthouse makes the most of the breathtaking views of Tsing Ma Bridge across to Central with a generous 11.5 ft floor to ceiling height. Unusually for Hong Kong the lower level of The Penthouse was entirely open plan, segmented into three zones, Salon, Dining Room and Drawing Room. One of the key focal points of the apartment was the staircase, which features back-lit onyx steps and appear to float in front of a double height, slate wall. The opulent yet understated master suite situated on the upper floor, occupies half of the entire floor area.Occupying 1,884 sq ft, the penthouse's roof terrace features outdoor cooking, dining and lounge areas, as well as an infinity pool. Meanwhile other highlights of the penthouse include a back-lit onyx staircase leading to the upper floor and a master en-suite that features one of the largest twin steam showers in Hong Kong.
