Nurai Island visit

I had the pleasure of visiting the Nurai Island in Abu Dhabi this Saturday. After a 40 minute drive by car from Dubai we decided to meet Mr. Daniel Strutt from Zaya (the developer of the project) at the recently opened Yas Hotel in Abu Dhabi. A must visit property with a unique design and exciting location because it has the Yas Marina Formula 1™ Circuit, which hosted the 2009 Formula 1™ Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, with the track racing right through the heart of the hotel. From the Yas Island we drove the car (10 min.) to our boat departure point on the tip of the Saadiyat Island. Followed by a 10 minute boat ride and we took our initial steps on the natural island. I must say that I was impressed by the unique design concept and the layout of the show villa. Hats off to the development team who has carefully planned every detail and used some of the best materials and brands available to create a unique atmosphere. High ceilings with glass walls create a lot of space and a sense of freedom. With the assistance of some chill-out background tunes, comfortable "visitor" slippers and a well timed fruit salad I "refused" to leave the property. In addition we had the pleasure of arriving just in time for a very relaxing sunset. It is great to see that during the "boom" time, when most of the developers were busy launching the maximum number of units, Team Zaya was focused on creating something unique. So the first thing to do when considering this project, is to visit the island. Many thanks to Daniel and the team at the show villa for this experience.
